Saxophones combine the sound of woodwinds with the timbre of the singing voice and form a family in four vocal ranges. This variety is perfect for quartets, but the saxophone quartet with a mixed choir is rare. The Audi Composers Competition called on composers worldwide to create new works for this instrumentation. The winners will be presented at the Audi Summer Concerts in the future Museum of Concrete Art in Ingolstadt, accompanied by dance and inspired by the theme of ‘light’. A unique overall experience.
